Copper has been used for over 10,000 years, it was one of the first known metals to be used by man. Copper coins have been found dating back to 8,700 B.C. Many ancient artifacts have been found made of bronze (copper and iron).

Copper is 100% recyclable and is the world's most reusable resource. Sources for recycled copper include but are not limited to copper pipe, electrical wire and roofing.

Recycling copper reduces of the carbon dioxide that would be required to produced new copper. This translates to a win for the environment, as the reduced amount of carbon dioxide translates to a reduction in greenhouse gases which are responsible for global warming.
