Aluminum Recycling Facts

Aluminum is the worlds second most recycled metal. Recycling aluminum is far less expensive and energy intensive than creating new aluminum. Recycling scrap requires only 5% of the energy that is required to create new raw aluminum.

Sources for recycled aluminum include but are not limited to cans, gutters, siding, wire, boats, aircraft and auto parts.

Recycling aluminum only creates 5% of the carbon dioxide that would be required to produced new aluminum. This translates to a huge win for the environment, as the reduced amount of carbon dioxide translates to a reduction in greenhouse gases which are responsible for global warming.
